Peter Stewart

Originally from Ireland, I moved to New Zealand in 2018. I've been in recruitment for almost 4 years now and I absolutely love the industry. Prior to this, I had a background in sales and e-commerce, but I found my calling in recruitment, particularly in the construction and electrical industries. I'm proud to have successfully placed staff in some of New Zealand's largest and most iconic projects, and have helped candidates find rewarding careers. What sets me apart from other consultants is my deep knowledge of the industry and my commitment to treating staff with respect and fairness.
What’s your favourite memory/story since starting at Lynx Recruitment?
My favoruite memory would have to be playing darts with the team in the old office. Whenever we needed a break from the desk, we'd head to the dart board for some mild competition and lots of laughs. We still do this now, and I'm sure there will be many more fun memories to come.
What sparked you to get into this role?
I wanted to work for a company where I could focus on what I love doing without feeling pressured by others. I'm passionate about recruiting and I always strive to be the best. Lynx Recruitment has allowed me to do just that, while also being fair, motivating and rewarding beyond my expectations.
What do you enjoy most about working at Lynx Recruitment?
The team is what I love most about working at Lynx. They're genuinely the best group of people I've ever worked with and I feel lucky to wake up each morning excited to come to work. We strike a great balance between having fun and being serious when we need to be.
What's your favourite hobby?
I have a few favourite hobbies - surfing, motorbikes, mountain biking, and socialising with my friends.
What's an interesting fact about you?
Well, for starters, I'm 6'6" and have red hair! But more interestingly, I put butter AND mayonnaise on my sandwiches.

Originally from Ireland, Mark relocated to NZ in 2023 to blaze a trail in the construction management space in NZ. With a background in technology, Warehousing & hospitality Industries, Mark is a process driven recruiter with a deep understanding of recruitment across various industries.

What sparked you to get into this role?
With a love for travelling, and recruitment, the next logical step was to relocate 20,000kms from Ireland to Auckland, all in the name of recruitment.
What do you enjoy most in Recruitment?
The rewarding nature of the role – on both candidate and client side, - when you find a unicorn for a job that can’t be filled, or working with a candidate to find them a role that they love
What's your favourite hobby?
Watching live sports – I’m not fussy. In my spare time, I am also a part time investigator of bespoke craft beer breweries.

I can speak Spanish – but don’t ask me to debate Quantum physics.

Janaye Watts

I bring a wealth of experience and industry knowledge to my role as a Recruitment Consultant. My career began in the UK, where I successfully ran my own electrical contracting firm, giving me hands-on experience and a deep understanding of the electrical industry. After several years in contracting, I transitioned into recruitment, specializing in electrical roles and working with tier 1contractors on an electrical recruitment desk. This combination of practical experience and recruitment expertise allows me to truly understand the challenges and needs of both clients and candidates. In 2024, I made the move to New Zealand, excited to continue my journey in recruitment and tackle the markets of New Zealand and Australia.

What I enjoy the most about working at Lynx is to be able to build strong relationships with people across the industry and helping businesses and professionals achieve their goals. I’ve always had a passion for cars, spending most of my free time working on them or racing them. Before moving to New Zealand, I had incredible opportunities to race all over Europe,combining my love for engineering and adrenaline. Whether it’s tuning an engine hitting the track, cars have always been a big part of my life. I also enjoy running and spending time at the beach.

I’ve achieved asub-10-minute lap time on the iconic Nürburgring Nordschleife, conquering one of the world’s most demanding racetracks with precision and speed.

After spending my first year out of university working in the warehousing industry, I realised I was craving more human interaction in my day-to-day. While recruitment wasn’t initially on my radar, it’s quickly become a space I’m genuinely excited about. I’m already loving the opportunity to connect with people daily, make a real impact, and continuously develop new skills in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.
